Cooper's Hawk Wine Club
Cooper’s Hawk is an upscale casual restaurant that started 15 years ago with founder Tim’s passion for pairing wine, food, lasting connections, and a life well lived.
The Cooper's Hawk concept includes four distinct components: an upscale casual dining restaurant, full-service bar, private dining room, and Napa-style tasting room and retail gift store.
While I’ve worked on many things for Cooper’s Hawk here and there including newsletter emails, promotional posters, and POS items, the cream of the crop of my work for them lives in their Wine of the Month Club space. Each month introduces a new handcrafted wine made from the best grapes from around the world. The Cooper's Hawk team travels the globe to source connections with the very best wine growers and has led to hundreds of national and international awards for their collection. Becoming a member gives you access to up to three wines featuring at least one new wine for the customer to discover. I've designed so many wine labels for the wine club, it's hard to keep track, but here are the best of the best including some award winning designs.

The goal when designing each label is visually storytelling and honoring the passion of growers, winemakers, and wine industry thought-leaders. We begin with moodboards and gathering inspiration on the region the wine comes from, the wine’s intrinsic character, and cutting-edge design to break out of tired cliches.
Putting pen to paper and then pen to pixel, I focus on how each design needs to communicate the Cooper’s Hawk brand DNA and the nuances of the wine’s story at a glance. I always keep in mind the legacy customer while supporting the brand’s growth by aiming to connect the design to a younger and more diverse audience.
